About FYSA

Welcome to Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA). At FYSA, we provide a fun, safe and healthy game for kids of all ages who want to play soccer. We offer programs for various levels of play such as recreational and competitive, and now offer a program to fit the needs and interests of our young soccer players with physical and/or mental disabilities called TOPSoccer. Our programs are aimed at meeting the different needs of ALL KIDS.

FYSA provides a healthy activity through its recreational and small-sided games programs. These programs emphasize fun instead of winning. Every child is guaranteed playing time, and the game is taught in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere.

For the players with advanced skills and greater ambition, highly competitive leagues are offered. These players might have their sights set on a college soccer scholarship or playing for the U. S. Olympic or National teams. The Olympic Development Program (ODP) is a great way for players with goals of continuing their soccer careers past youth sports to get a higher level of training and coaching.

FYSA is one of the larger member organizations of the United States Youth Soccer (USYS). USYS is a nationwide body of over 600,000 volunteers and administrators, and over 300,000 dedicated coaches, most of who are also volunteers. USYS registers over 3,000,000 youth players between the ages of 4 and 19. USYS is made up of 55 member State Associations; one in each state, and two in California, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas.

From its humble beginnings in 1974 with just under 2,500 registered players to its current registration of more than 100,000, FYSA has been recognized as a leader in youth sports organizations in Florida. Through a democratic structure, the membership of FYSA is able to provide uniform rules and guidelines. These guidelines facilitate intra-state, inter-state and international play. FYSA is also able to provide a structured appeals process, and its marketing and licensing programs help FYSA hold down player costs while providing revenue for increased services.

The administration of FYSA is conducted by a 33-member Board of Directors consisting of a President, Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President-Player and Coaching Development, Registrar, Vice President-Competition, Vice President-Administration and Communication, 4 Regional Vice Presidents, 20 District Commissioners, Referee Liaison and Immediate Past President. Each of these board members (with the exception of the Immediate Past President) is elected to office by delegates from the affiliate organizations (leagues, clubs, etc.) within FYSA at the Annual General Meeting.

The FYSA membership is divided into four regions, each with a vice president elected to the board. The regions are essentially South (Region A), East (Region B), West (Region C) and North (Region D).

So come join the millions of kids having a ball. We’ve got a place for everyone. Call 1-863-268-8220 or send an e-mail to info@fysa.com for more information on the programs offered by and benefits of belonging to FYSA.
