We are excited to announce that the 2008 FYSA Annual General Meeting and Workshop (AGM) will be held August 8-10, 2008 at the JW Marriott, Grande Lakes in Orlando, Florida. The weekend will feature more than 20 educational workshops for administrators, coaches, parents and referees. The event will cover topics on registration, risk management, State Cup, TOPSoccer, and player development. You will also hear the latest on the FYSA communications plan and marketing techniques for your clubs. Field sessions on developmentally appropriate soccer activities for young children with David Carr and Ron Quinn will be presented as well. Carr and Quinn are best known for their work with youth soccer and, along with Dr. Tom Fleck, helped write the Official US Youth Soccer Coaching Manual.
Referee Assignor certification and re-certification, Grade 9 (Recreation) certification, and Referee re-certification courses will be available. The event includes the announcement of the 2008 FYSA SCORE Coaches of the Year as well as other awards and exhibitors featuring the latest soccer equipment, technology, and apparel.
