Region D ODP Process
2009-2010
The goal is to identify and promote the best players born in 1993-1997 in Region D. Once identified these players will be invited to attend future events where our state pool and teams will be identified. The process will be accomplished through centers and scouting league and tournament play. FYSA ODP will also communicate with the local clubs DOCs as to the top players within the region.
We will hold training centers for players born 1995-97. These training centers will pair a training session with identification games. This allows our staff to view players from various clubs side by side and make evaluations. It also allows the staff to put players in a training environment and then transition to the game in roles the staff coaches wish to see them in. We encourage all players in these age groups to attend these centers.
FYSA will have staff at events in October, February and March/April. These events may be league play or tournaments. Other evaluation events opportunities are in the planning stages. We will be looking at players in the 1993-1997 age groups in October and in the 1993-95 group in February and March/April.
Registration:
Players born 1995-1997 who are attending the training centers need to register for the centers using the Region D registration form (click for
pdf or
Word version).
Players born in 1993 and 1994 will be emailed the appropriate registration forms once identified.
Players are also able to attend one of the scheduled trials in other parts of the states. Registration forms can be found on the ODP site.
Identified players:
1995-1996 will be invited into the supercenters in January (notification as to their identification will be made in December after the Dec. training center)
1993-1995 will be invited into State Trials in April (notification will be made in April after the February and March/April evaluation events)
