ODP 96-97 Boys and Girls Selections

We want to thank the players that came out this year in the 96-97 Boys and Girls Tryouts. Your effort and ability made these selections very difficult to make.

Click below for the 96-97 Boys and Girls State Pool List. The 96 boys and 96-97 girls will form three teams from their pools. The 97 boys age group will be forming four teams from their pool. The players listed should receive an email to the email address provided by Feb. 7 in regards to future events and your commitment. If you should not receive this information you can email Michael Strickler at mstrickler@fysa.com. We as a staff will continue to monitor these age groups in case opportunities arise for additional players in the future.

1993-1995 Players

For the 1993, 1994 and 1995 players, ODP Region Trials will be held in Spring of 2010. Applications are available below.

Dates are posted in the Calendar link to the left of the ODP page. Locations for most of the trials are still pending but the region in which the trial will be hosted is noted. Players are eligible to try out at any of the three locations. As soon as the sites are set we will post it there.

1998 Players

We will have a Pre-ODP camp for players born in 1998 this summer. More information to come on this.

Region III Pool

Florida ODP sets record

At the Olympic Development Program (ODP) Region III camps in July, Florida had a record 91 players make the Region III pool for ages 1990-1995 and currently has 43 players with the US Soccer Full National or National Youth Teams.

We have six players who participate with our program competing for spots with the US U17 Men and Women’s National Teams. Click Continue for information.

The 1992A and 1992B Girls, 1993 Girls, 1992 Boys and 1993 Boys all qualified for the Region III ODP Championships to be held in New Orleans, Louisiana in January 2009.

"We are really excited and proud at the record number this year," says Mike Strickler, FYSA Director of Coaching. “There was a great amount of cooperation between our staff and US Soccer in identifying and evaluating players. Our hope is that we can continue this success in future years.”
