At the Olympic Development Program (ODP) Region III camps in July, Florida had a record 91 players make the Region III pool for ages 1990-1995 and currently has 43 players with the US Soccer Full National or National Youth Teams.

The 1992A and 1992B Girls, 1993 Girls, 1992 Boys and 1993 Boys all qualified for the Region III ODP Championships to be held in New Orleans, Louisiana in January 2009.
"We are really excited and proud at the record number this year," says Mike Strickler, FYSA Director of Coaching. “There was a great amount of cooperation between our staff and US Soccer in identifying and evaluating players. Our hope is that we can continue this success in future years.”
