Florida Youth Soccer Endorses Growing Champions for Life!

Florida Youth Soccer is excited to announce a special relationship with Growing Champions for Life, Inc.  The endorsement of this exciting organization means access to the inspirational videos, interesting audio interviews, educational assessments, and stimulating courses of the GCFL web site for FYSA members at a special discounted price.

The philosophy of Growing Champions for Life (a non-profit organization) is dedicated to creating cohesive families, healthy teams, and principle-centered athletes who win at life, not just at sports.  Founder David Benzel said, “The True Hero Inner Circle program is designed to help families create the most positive sport family environment possible while developing confident athletes who see their parents as heroes.”

FYSA Director of Coaching and Player Development added, "We are excited about endorsing the Growing Champions for Life philosophy. Their programs are a perfect fit for FYSA’s commitment to positive sport families and healthy player development at every level."

David Benzel will provide a seminar for soccer parents at the FYSA Olympic Development Program tryouts in April.

A report from the Women’s Sports Foundation

In December 2009 the Women’s Sports Foundation released a new and expanded comprehensive review of its essential “Her Life Depends On It” report, first released in 2004. The benchmark 2009 review draws critical conclusions that further emphasize the vital roles that sports play in the physical and social health of girls and women. The report is compiled from more than 2,000 studies examining women’s athletics and health, including hundreds of new studies conducted in the five years since the last report was released.  To download a copy, click on: http://www.womenssportsfoundation.org/Content/Research-Reports/Her-Life-Depends-On-It-II.aspx
