Region B covers the area of Florida from Jacksonville, in the North, over to Gainesville and Ocala, in the West, down to Vero Beach, in the South, including the Orlando area. We have five District Commissioners - one for each district. Contact information as well as their District Plans as listed below.
On January 12, 2008, the region will be hosting an AGM for the Region B affiliate leadership. Planned breakouts include: fiscal responsibility by Scott Maxwell, FYSA Treasurer; sponsorships by Ed Thiebe, FYSA Executive Director; club registrars taught by Linda Lathrop, FYSA Registrar or Mary Jo Crews, FYSA Registration Committee and ADC B2; a referee session by the Florida State Referees; and a coaching session by Mike Strickler, FYSA Director of Coaching or his staff. More information and registration will be published later.
This year Regional Cup will be for Division I (competitive coded) teams only. The Regional Cup will continue to serve those Division I teams not entered in State Cup Competition. Winners of Region Cup may advance the President’s Cup. Winners of the FYSA President’s cup may advance to the Region III President’s Cup.
Due to the confusion last year over the Division II competition, we will not be holding any Division II competition as part of Region Cup. Next year, I hope to revive Division II competition.
