While the 2008 season seems so far away, it is time to begin making the plans necessary for the registration of all of our members and players.
The 2008-2009 online affiliation renewal form will be available on June 1 for all current affiliates. This form can only be accessed and completed by the affiliate’s Agent of Record. This form must be submitted by September 1, 2008 or all access to the secure site will be denied.
Associate members must have their form on file before any competition will be considered sanctioned. For example, Associates who have Labor Day tournaments must have their form on file prior to their event. Leagues that start before September 1 must have their 2008-2009 form on file before the first season game, even if that game is before September 1.
Also, between June 1 and July 15, FYSA will waive the birth verification late fee, so that any registered player that is currently unverified during the 2007-2008 seasonal year can be birth verified in advance of the 2008-2009 season at no charge. During this same period, new players to FYSA will be able to request a pass number and can be birth verified at no charge. This should assist our members who have players participating in league games in August and still allow time to get players birth verified.
Beginning July 15, the FYSA office will begin accepting registrations for those affiliates who are in good standing and have complied with all FYSA rules, have no challenges to their affiliation, and full affiliates who have registered the required minimum of 50 players.
On August 1, secure site access will begin to be extended for those members who are registered to a 000 team for the 2008-2009 season. You must request this via the “change my information” section in the secure site.
On August 31, online secure site access will be suspended for all affiliates who have not submitted renewal forms for the 2008-2009 season. All Associate members must have 2008-2009 affiliation forms on file or events such as league or tournament play will NOT be sanctioned.
