T. Logan Fleck

Logan Fleck

T. Logan Fleck passed away Sunday night in his home in Deland, FL. He went by T. Logan in honor of his father, Thomas Fleck. He has coached at Arkansas Little-Rock Men and Women's Soccer, South Florida Men and Women's Soccer, and was currently coaching at Stetson University. Logan has been an FYSA staff coach for the past 30 years. During that time he was an ODP coach both at the State and Region III level, coaching course instructor, and coaching committee member. He has been a mentor to many of the current and former staff coaches. Coaches from all over the country have called to pay their respects. He was also a very accomplished player reaching national youth levels and was also a player at Old Dominion University.

He was more than just a player and a coach. He had a way of making someone very comfortable from the very first time you met him. He would make you laugh even in tense times. He had a drive that would exhaust others around him but he was always trying to get the best whether it would be a player, fellow coach, or administrator. His father suffered from Alzheimer's during the latter part of his life. He would coach the team in Deland and then drive to Brandon to be with his dad and do it all over the next day. you would think that would be enough. He would always go a step further. He developed games and strategies with his dad and other patients to improve their quality of life and put a smile on their face. This is who Logan was. Someone who would work very hard at his task but as he worked hard he would find ways to improve the life around him.

He will be missed on so many levels but now he will be able to be with his father and brother.

A Celebration of Life - Memorial service will take place at  2 p.m. on Saturday, August 2nd at First Presbyterian Church of Orlando, 106 E Church Street, with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations can be made in Logan’s honor for diabetes research by CLICKING HERE
