SUMMARY:U.S. Soccer Grassroots 9v9 Course - Hosted by Florida Youth Soccer association in association with Mutiny Soccer Club - Palmetto\, FL
DESCRIPTION:Course Details: \nThe 9v9 In-Person Course is a four-hour course that builds on the principles covered in U.S. Soccer’s Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Module. Specifically\, coaches will learn more about U.S. Soccer’s Grassroots Coaching Education Philosophy\, Play-Practice-Play Methodology\, the Six Tasks of a Coach\, and the characteristics of players ages U11 and U12. The course will also ask each coach to reflect on their experiences to develop action steps for personal growth in the Six Tasks (Coaching Games\, Coaching Training Sessions\, Leading the Team\, Leading the Player\, Managing the Performance Environment\, and Leadership). \n  \nCoaches will be asked to participate in discussions so each person should have access to a web-camera/live video capabilities. Coaches may be asked to participate in the field component as either coaches or players\, so please come prepared to actively learn. \n  \nSchedule: \nTuesday April 1st\, 2025 – 7:00PM – 9:00PM – Virtual Webinar (Link will be provided at a later time) \nThursday April 3rd\, 2025 – 5:30pm-7:30pm In-Person Field Session at Buffalo Creek Park – 7550 69th St E \nPalmetto\, Florida 34221 \n  \n(You must attend both the Webinar (Virtual) and Field Session on the above dates and times in order to complete this course and receive the License. DESCRIPTION:The U.S. Soccer Club Technical Leadership (CTL) Level 1 Course hosted by Florida Youth Soccer Association in association with MLS Orlando City is a BLENDED course. The BLENDED format combines an online experience\, assignments\, small group meetings\, independent learning\, an in-person meeting and summative assessment interviews. \n  \nEligibility Requirements: \nTo register for the U.S. Soccer CTL Level 1 Course\, individuals must meet the following prerequisites: \n\n\nAt least 18 years of age\nHold a U.S. Soccer B License\nHave a minimum of one (1) year experience in a club technical leadership role (DOC\, Technical Director\, Age Group/Gender DOC\, GK DOC)\n\n\n*Application for a waiver of the U.S. Soccer B License may be considered based on the following: \n\n\nClub technical leader has 10 years of club technical leadership experience AND a U.S. Soccer C License\n\nOR \n\nClub technical leader has a recognized equivalent foreign license\n\nAND \n\nMust be currently serving in a technical leadership role within a club responsible in full or in part for:\n\nClub player development philosophy\nClub player development plan or age group development plan\nClub coach development plan or age group coach development plan\n\n\n\n  \nWaiver Application Link/FAQs: https://ussf.my.site.com/lcsupport/s/article/Waiver-Process-FAQs \n  \nCourse Experience: \n80-90 hours \nClub technical leaders who register for this course can expect weekly learning opportunities that will feature a mixture of independent learning using online modules\, live virtual meetings\, and one (1) 4-day in-person meetings led by licensed U.S. Soccer Educators. Club technical leaders will be asked to participate in discussions so each person should have access to the internet and a laptop/device with web-camera/live video capabilities.
