FYSA Credentials Committee Announcement for 2020 AGM

After the announcement of the FYSA AGM General Session moving online, it was decided that a virtual voting platform was necessary for the upcoming event. Members of the FYSA Staff have spoken with several companies to ensure that a secure and accurate vote can take place. Ultimately, the Board of Directors voted to use eBallot for the 2020 Annual General Meeting voting platform. EBallot is coordinating all voting aspects with US Youth Soccer for their Annual General Meeting later this month and a similar approach is being adapted for FYSA.

The FYSA Credentials Committee has met to discuss the voting method and the below recommendations have been adopted by the FYSA Board of Directors:

  • Voting credentials will be sent directly to each clubs/leagues Agent of Record via email. It is extremely important that the correct email is updated within GotSoccer as this is where the credentials will be emailed.
  • Proxy votes will only be available until Friday, August 7, 2020 at 5:00 PM EDT. This is to ensure that enough time is allowed for all votes to be correctly assigned to the right individuals.
  • The Annual General Meeting starts at 11:00 AM EDT on August 9th, but all members must be in the virtual room at 11:15 AM EDT to confirm voting counts.

To ensure a smooth process, eBallot will be providing test demos and sharing helpful information with the membership leading up to the Annual General Meeting. The state office is confirming demo dates with eBallot at this time. If you have any questions about the general session and the new voting method, please contact the state office.

We will be communicating updated information as we receive it.

Warm Regards

FYSA Board of Directors & Staff
