FYSA Welcomes Cristina Coca as the New Director of Competitions
AUBURNDALE, Florida (September 13, 2021)-- Florida Youth Soccer Association is very pleased to welcome Cristina Coca as our new Director of Competitions. Cristina will be responsible for leading and facilitating all FYSA Competitive events including the state & regional leagues (FSPL, Sunshine Conference, Sunshine Academy) and all Florida State level Cup events (State, President’s, Commissioner’s, and Futures Cups). She will also be the liaison with US Youth Soccer and the Southern Region (formerly Region III) during regional and national level competition series for all FYSA team and clubs.
“I am excited to begin this journey with FYSA,” said Cristina Coca. “Florida Youth soccer has been a passion of mine since I started in the game as a player. I can’t wait to continue to form relationships with the member clubs and expand the competition of youth soccer in the state of Florida.”
Coca joins the FYSA staff with a BA in Public Relations- Communications from Flagler College (Florida) and a MS in Sport Management and Administration from Delta State University (Mississippi). Most recently Coca was the Director of Competition for the US Club Soccer’s Florida Club League since it’s conception.
We look forward to Cristina bringing her knowledge and experience to this role to continue to drive success, growth, and development for all FYSA competitions.
