The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Welcome to the official blog of the Florida Youth Soccer Association! This blog will focus on all soccer-related topics. Serving as an educational and informative tool, we hope that the articles featured within this blog will provide a healthy avenue for our users to communicate with each other.
With thirty-one (31) Florida teams making it to the Southern Regional Championship this past summer, it comes as no surprise that the Florida Olympic Development Program (ODP) has numerous players recently invited to participate in the Interregional Event in November.
Each region (East, Midwest, South, West) has selected the top players at each age group to represent them and competes against the other Regional teams. The Regional Staff and the ODP Scouting Network will evaluate players throughout the event. A selection of top players from this event will then be invited to attend the USYS National ODP Training Camp (National Training Camp) in January of 2022.
This event is designed to take the top players selected from the GODP and BODP inter-regional events and further evaluate and showcase their talents with high-level training and top-level competition for both genders.
The Southern Region is made up of the following twelve (12) state associations:
Of the Southern Region team selections for the Interregional event, Florida ODP players made up forty percent (40%) of all the girls invited and just over twenty-four percent (24%) of all boys invited, not including all the additional players called up for the event training pool. Leading the way is the 2008 Girls A team with an eighteen (18) person roster of ONLY Florida ODP players.

The Interregional event will take place on November 16-20, 2021, for the boys, and November 20-24, 2021, for the girls in Orlando, FL. We are excited to continue showing what Florida players can do on the regional and national stages. #FLCameToPlay
