Creating Space for All: Pros & Pals Event Celebrates Inclusive Soccer

FYSA and TOPSoccer proudly partnered with the Tampa Bay Sun Foundation to sponsor the Pros & Pals event—a joyful celebration of inclusion, connection, and the belief that every child deserves a place to play. This powerful event, months in the making, was brought to life through collaboration with the IamMore Foundation and Ability to Include, Inc.

Held on July 20th at the at Skills Center in Tampa, the event welcomed from TOPSoccer, IamMore Foundation, and Ability to Include for an afternoon of adaptive, inclusive soccer—side by side with professional players from the Tampa Bay Sun.

More than just a game, this event was about intentionally creating a space where all children—regardless of ability—felt welcomed, valued, and empowered. Every activity was designed to foster success, confidence, and connection, ensuring that each athlete had the opportunity to thrive.

The professional players of Tampa Bay Sun didn’t just show up—they showed up with heart, engaging directly with the athletes through skill stations, mini games, and meaningful conversation. Together, they helped break down barriers and redefine what it means to belong on the field.

“This is what inclusion looks like,” said Jennifer DiTillio, FYSA TOPSoccer Chairperson. “We’re building more than just athletes—we’re building community, confidence, and lifelong joy. It was incredible to see so many children step onto the field knowing it was truly their space.”

The Pros & Pals event is a shining example of what happens when organizations come together to center inclusion and elevate every child’s experience. FYSA, TOPSoccer, IamMore Foundation, Ability to Change, and the Tampa Bay Sun Foundation remain committed to building a more inclusive culture—one where every child has a place to grow, play, and belong.
