FYSA, TOPSoccer, Grassroots Foundation Reef Runner Raffle
In the realm of recreational sports, inclusivity and accessibility are values that enrich the experience for everyone involved. One program that exemplifies this ethos is TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer). Operated exclusively through Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) affiliated clubs, TOPSoccer is a vibrant initiative catering to individuals with intellectual, emotional, or physical disabilities. With a mission dedicated to providing structured soccer engagement emphasizing safety, fun, support, and inclusivity, TOPSoccer seeks to enrich lives through the beautiful game of soccer.
At the forefront of this program are dedicated volunteers, including administrators, coaches, and buddies from within the local community. These individuals contribute their time and effort to ensure that children and adults with diverse abilities have the opportunity for personal growth, social interaction, and community connection through soccer.
As FYSA commemorates its 50th anniversary, it invites everyone to join in the celebration with an exciting FYSA TGF Raffle. Participants have the chance to win an impressive bundle valued at $15,000, generously donated by supportive partners. The funds raised from this raffle will directly support the impactful initiatives of TOPSoccer, Grassroots Education, and the FYSA Foundation.
The FYSA TGF Raffle (FYSA, TOPSoccer, Grassroots Foundation) offers multiple entry options: 10 entries for $25.00, 30 entries for $50.00, and 50 entries for $100.00. The prize bundle includes a 9-foot Skiff Boat donated by Reef Runner valued at $10,200, a 6HP Gas Mercury engine courtesy of Mercury Marine Motors valued at $3,000, and an Aluminum/Stainless Steel Boat trailer from Rock n Roll Trailers valued at $1,800.
In addition to the raffle, FYSA is hosting a Silent Auction opening on May 1, 2024. Both the raffle and the silent auction will run through August 3, 2024, culminating in the raffle drawing at 3:00 pm on that date.
FYSA’s steadfast support of TOPSoccer spans over two decades through the TOPSoccer Committee. This ongoing commitment has enabled 30 affiliates to offer TOPSoccer to over 1500 athletes, children, and adults who may not otherwise have had the opportunity to participate in soccer.
One individual deeply involved in the TOPSoccer program is the chairperson of the TOPSoccer Committee, who shares her personal connection to the cause. Having served in this role for the past four years and been involved in TOPSoccer for over eight years, she speaks passionately about the program’s impact. As a mother of a child with special needs, she understands firsthand the significance of programs like TOPSoccer in fostering growth, both in soccer skills and social skills, among participants. Witnessing the joy and fulfillment on the athletes’ faces underscores the importance of ensuring that every club has a TOPSoccer program.
Proceeds from the Silent Auction and direct donations will be allocated to fund equipment and training for TOPSoccer programs, furthering the reach and impact of this invaluable initiative.
