Jacy Lane: A Rising Star in Soccer

Jacey Lane’s journey in soccer is a testament to dedication, resilience, and growth. From a quiet and reserved player to a standout leader, Jacey has proven that hard work and perseverance can take you to incredible heights. Her achievements on the field speak for themselves, but her humility and gratitude make her truly remarkable.

Jacey Lane has left an indelible mark on youth soccer, claiming two state titles with W&H America and two Sunshine Conference titles. Her performances in the 2024 state championship were nothing short of legendary. Scoring all six goals in the semi-final and final—including a decisive win over IMG—Jacey cemented her reputation as a clutch performer in the biggest moments.

Her longtime coach, Robyn James, who has worked with Jacey for eight years in FYSA, reflected on her transformation: “Jacey was not a player that stood out at a young age, she was quiet and reserved and in the background, but she never stopped working and doing the extras which is a credit to her character. Over time, that work compounded and she became a great leader and the focus point of every team she was on. This year, she has gone to another level where her performances are consistent and making the difference in big moments and big matches.”

Jacey’s talent caught the attention of the USL-W league early in her career. As a sophomore, she made her debut for the Palm City Americanas, and by her junior year, she was a major contributor to the team’s success. Her ability to rise to the occasion and make an impact at such a young age showcased her readiness for higher levels of competition.

On November 24, 2024, Jacey made her debut for Walton & Hersham FC in England against Mosely Athletic. It was a performance for the ages, with Jacey scoring an astonishing six goals in her first match. This remarkable start to her international career solidified her as a player to watch on the global stage. Her commitment to play for the Swans in the 2025-26 season marks the next exciting chapter in her career.

Through it all, Jacey has remained grounded and thankful for the support she’s received along the way. In her own words: “I am so grateful to having been on this journey through youth soccer. It has been such a blessing to have had all the experiences over the last 12 years and I will always cherish them. Right now, all I can think about is that without my friends, family, and coaches behind me, there is no way I’d be making this jump to the next level. Not only were they always there but they pushed me to be the best without any self-interest in mind.”

Jacey Lane’s story is far from over. As she continues to excel on the field, her journey serves as an inspiration to young players everywhere. With her unmatched work ethic, leadership, and talent, there is no doubt that Jacey’s future in soccer is as bright as ever.
