Justin Lauer Inducted into Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame for Community Sports Advancement
Melbourne, FL – May 24, 2025 — Justin Lauer, Vice President of Region B for Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA), has been inducted into the Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame, earning recognition in the prestigious “Community Sports Advancement” category. The honor was shared with longtime colleague and fellow advocate, Dr. Bill Quinter, during the Hall of Fame’s 2025 induction ceremony at Eastern Florida State College.
Lauer, a cornerstone of youth athletics in Brevard County for over three decades, was honored for his outstanding contributions to recreational and competitive soccer across Central and Northeast Florida. As Region B VP—covering an area that spans from Vero Beach to Jacksonville and west through Orlando—Lauer has worked tirelessly to grow youth sports, coordinate statewide tournaments, and mentor hundreds of referees, including his own children.

“I have enjoyed promoting youth soccer by serving as Brevard Youth Soccer League Chairman, tournament organizer, referee assignor, referee, recreational soccer coach and now FYSA’s Region B VP. All three of my kids have played youth soccer. I worked with a lot of great people along the way and youth soccer has grown significantly in the Space Coast area. It is a great honor to be inducted to the Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame.” Lauer said, reflecting on his years of service to youth soccer on the Space Coast.
Lauer’s achievements include launching the Brevard Youth Soccer League Hall of Fame and scholarship fund, coordinating the FYSA-sanctioned Commissioner’s Cup, and serving as a referee assignor since 2002. In 2008, he achieved State Referee Emeritus status—a distinction held by fewer than 1% of Florida soccer officials.
His leadership continues to elevate grassroots programs across FYSA’s Region B, creating opportunities for thousands of young athletes and fostering a legacy of community engagement through sport.
Since its founding in 2011, the Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame has honored more than 200 athletes, coaches, officials, and community leaders who have shaped the landscape of sports along Florida’s Space Coast.
