Florida Teams Shine at 2025 USYS Southern Presidents Cup: Three Crowned Regional Champions
The 2025 USYS Southern Presidents Cup brought together top youth soccer teams from across the region, and Florida teams made a powerful statement throughout the competition. Thirteen teams from Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) traveled to compete in the tournament, proudly representing the Sunshine State with skill, teamwork, and determination.
Out of the thirteen, three teams delivered standout performances that not only led them to victory in the Regional Finals, but also secured them a spot at the USYS Presidents Cup National Championships.

Milan de Miami 15U Boys, Cape Coral 16U Boys, and Wellington 14U Boys each advanced through group play and knockout rounds to qualify for the final. By reaching that stage, all three secured their places at Nationals. But they didn’t stop there—each team returned to the pitch the following day and captured Southern Regional Championship titles in their respective age groups.
Their victories mark a major milestone, not only for the clubs themselves, but for Florida soccer as a whole. Competing against some of the strongest teams from across the southern United States, these young athletes demonstrated the high level of talent and preparation fostered within FYSA.
Now, Milan de Miami, Cape Coral, and Wellington will prepare for their biggest challenge yet: the 2025 USYS Presidents Cup National Championships, taking place July 11–15 in Tampa, Florida. With the national spotlight turning toward their home state, these teams will have the opportunity to compete for national titles in front of local supporters, families, and their extended soccer communities.

FYSA extends congratulations to all 13 teams that qualified for and competed at Southern Presidents Cup. Their hard work, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit reflect the best of youth soccer in Florida. As the countdown begins for Nationals, the entire state will be rallying behind Milan de Miami, Cape Coral, and Wellington as they take the field once again—this time with a national championship on the line.
