Isaac Breese: Memorialized and Celebrated

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that FYSA announces the tragic passing of Isaac Breese. Isaac was not just an outstanding player and ODP Member, but also a cherished teammate and an exceptional individual. He embodied the spirit of FYSA with excellence and integrity. His influence on his club, the Olympic Development Program, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing, coaching, and playing with him is forever lasting.

Isaac joined his club, Florida West FC, in 2020 and spent the last 4 years as a dedicated member of the ODP State Team. His passion, skill, and commitment to soccer were evident in every practice and game. During his tenure with Florida West FC and ODP, Isaac achieved a bounty of honors and milestones, establishing himself as a distinguished player. He was nominated for the 2024 ECNL Player of the Year, served as the goalkeeper for his 2007 Florida ODP team, and was a member of the ODP South Region Team. However, Isaac’s accomplishments didn’t just end on the pitch as he was an impressive scholar and rising senior on track to graduate in 2025. Isaac was on the A/B Honor Roll, was set to be attending Florida Gulf Coast University for full time dual enrollment, and was expected to earn his Cambridge AICE Diploma upon graduation. Isaac’s extraordinary achievements, on and off the field, earned immense respect and admiration from coaches and teammates alike.

Beyond his athletic prowess, Isaac was a beloved teammate whose camaraderie and spirit brought unity and purpose to his teams. His leadership, both on and off the field, was crucial in guiding his teams to success and inspiring younger players to pursue greatness. Isaac’s presence was a beacon of inspiration, and his absence is deeply felt by the youth soccer community. His legacy transcends his athletic achievements, reflecting the character that greatly defined him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Isaac’s family, friends, and loved ones during this incredibly challenging time. FYSA will work to honor his memory by upholding the values he embodied and striving for the excellence he passionately pursued.

Isaac Breese will always be a part of the FYSA and ODP family, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
