FYSA Partners with Fort Lauderdale United to Amplify Girls and Women in Soccer

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Fort Lauderdale, FL – [Sept 9, 2024] – Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) announced a strategic partnership with Fort Lauderdale United today. This collaboration marks a significant moment for women’s soccer in South Florida and highlights the ongoing growth of the sport across the state.

The partnership focuses on fostering youth engagement, development, and opportunities in soccer. It provides young female athletes with access to professional-level training, mentorship programs, and events with Fort Lauderdale United players and coaches.

Fort Lauderdale United made history as the first professional women’s soccer team in Fort Lauderdale when they debuted during August in the new Division 1 USL Super League.

“Fort Lauderdale United is excited to partner with FYSA, the largest youth soccer organization in the State of Florida,” said Tommy Smith- Founder & Chairman of Fort Lauderdale United. “We’re dedicated to forging a pathway from youth to professional soccer in South Florida and we are looking forward to doing great things together.”

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Fort Lauderdale United,” said FYSA Executive Director Joel Dragan. “This partnership will not only raise the profile of women’s soccer in South Florida but also provide a direct pathway to professional soccer for our young athletes. Our shared vision is to create a supportive and dynamic environment for the next generation of female soccer stars.”
