Florida Youth Soccer Association Hosts Successful 2025 Annual General Meeting in Orlando
Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) hosted its 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) August 8-10 at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld. The event brought together club leaders, coaches, administrators, and partners from across the state for a weekend filled with collaboration, education, and celebration of another remarkable year of youth soccer in Florida.

More than 40 vendors were in attendance, giving members the chance to explore the latest products, services, and programs designed to support the growth of youth soccer. From innovative training tools to new opportunities in player development, the exhibition hall was a hub of connection and learning.
Workshops throughout the weekend drew strong attendance, offering insight and discussion on key topics shaping the game. A standout highlight was the Women in Soccer Workshop, which featured multiple girls’ programs sharing opportunities to expand and strengthen the role of girls in soccer. FYSA’s newest partnership, Girl Talk, also hosted an engaging session.
“We were thrilled to kickoff our partnership and be welcomed by members of the FYSA community during the Annual General Meeting earlier this month. I was especially inspired by the countless conversations I had with parents and coaches on how we can work together to empower young athletes and build confidence in girls.” – Kaela Chang, Executive Director
“At the FYSA Annual General Meeting, I enjoyed sharing the power of peer-to-peer mentorship in helping girls shine with confidence, both on and off the field. It was such a joy to connect with coaches, families, and incredible young athletes who remind us that when girls lead together, anything is possible!” – Jayla Head, Programs Manager
Saturday evening featured a celebratory banquet where attendees had the opportunity to hear from Oguchi Onyewu, former U.S. Men’s National Team standout. Onyewu shared an inspiring fireside chat, reflecting on his professional career and the lessons learned throughout his journey in soccer.
The weekend concluded on Sunday with the official Annual General Meeting, where FYSA membership came together to discuss initiatives and make decisions aimed at advancing the game across Florida.

The 2025 AGM served not only as a chance to celebrate a successful year but also as a platform to build momentum for the future of youth soccer in the state. With strong partnerships, innovative programs, and a passionate membership, FYSA is excited to continue its mission of growing the game and empowering the next generation of players.
